Landholder engagement
New transmission infrastructure is crucial to Victoria’s energy future, but we recognise that it also has impacts on host communities and landholders.
We’re committed to working closely with all potentially impacted landholders in the study area. We have established a local and dedicated landholder engagement team and are seeking to talk directly with landholders in the study area to better understand their needs, their properties and activities like agricultural practices. The aim is to improve the project and minimise impacts as much as possible. We can also talk about the study area, explain our decision-making process, and answer any questions you may have.
If you haven’t been contacted by us and think you are within the study area, view our interactive map or get in touch via email at landholders@deeca.vic.gov.au or phone 1800 959 431.

Community support services
VicGrid acknowledges the uncertainty and concern around new offshore wind transmission infrastructure in Gippsland, particularly for affected landholders and communities.
We encourage anyone struggling with challenges of their own, a friend or a family member’s mental health and wellbeing to contact one of the independent support providers listed below for free and confidential advice.
We are talking to local organisations in Gippsland about putting in place local support services and will provide updates on this work.
