The Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP) held an online forum to provide information on the decision to apply a discount factor for refrigerated cabinet (RC) installations under the Victorian Energy Upgrades (VEU) program.
The forum was held online on Thursday, 30 June 2022.
Stakeholders had the opportunity to ask DELWP questions regarding the RC discount factor decision.
DELWP has published responses to questions raised by stakeholders at the forum on the Engage Victoria website for refrigerated cabinets.
DELWP is committed to reviewing the refrigerated cabinet activity. This review will ensure all facets of the refrigerated cabinet activity meet the VEU program's objectives and appropriately incentivise the upgrade and installation of all refrigerated cabinet products.
The review will consider feedback received as part of the discount factor consultation and will be supported by further stakeholder consultation. The outcomes of the review will be finalised by early 2023.
